The Cocktail

For this episode I have made the Matt Meyer Clear Negroni.  I couldn’t quite recreate Matt’s favourite cocktail (though it is something to try to learn how to make over time).  This one is clean, simple, and yet complex at the same time.

Serve in a chilled coupe glass.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce Gin (I used Drumshambo Gunpowder Irish Gin, though a simple dry gin works well too) Reserve)
  • A few dashes of Almond bitter
  • 1 ounce Dolin Blan vermouth
  • 1/2 ounce Cocchi Americano
  • 1/2 Suze
  • lemon twist for garnish

Method:

Combine the gin, Dolin, Cocchi Americano, Suze, and bitters in a mixing glass filled with ice.  Stir until well chilled.  Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with the lemon twist.  Sit back, relax, and think as you sip on the drink, think about how intentional you are in your leadership.
